Opening Reception: Moment / Memory | Traces of Presence
Hudson
IMUR
A collaborative exhibition by Fine Art Academy of Montclair and IMUR, presenting works that reflect personal recollections, family histories, cultural narratives, changing environments, or the subtle evidence of human presence.
Arrival, Ann Antoshak.
Every experience leaves a mark.
Some marks exist only for a moment. Others become memories. Even when a person, place, or event is gone, traces of its presence remain—in objects, landscapes, photographs, relationships, bodies, and imagination.
"Moment / Memory – Trace of Presence" explores the relationship between lived experience and what remains afterward. The exhibition invites artists to examine how fleeting moments become memory, and how memory continues to shape our understanding of identity, place, history, and belonging.
Featuring Artists from FAAM, the works may reflect personal recollections, family histories, cultural narratives, changing environments, or the subtle evidence of human presence. Together, they form a visual archive of what is remembered, forgotten, preserved, or transformed over time. The concept connects the present moment with the lingering traces it leaves behind.
